Week 16 (?)

No posts for such a long time... what can I say, I had to use every last minute of my weekends for my girlfriend and drinking :P

Well, in those 9 weeks I completed the "non-commissioned officer school" (hope that's right) and they promoted me to private first class last week.
We did some more or less fun stuff in class... (like 25 & 40 km marches, standing guard at 3:00 am at -10° C as well as much shooting, shooting and more shooting.)

We also had many theories about leadership and education... you can imagine it, it's a cadre school...

Now it's 14 more weeks 'till I become promoted seargent... geez
On monday the 15th, my recruits are going to arrive. I'll show them what it means to be in "the best army in the world"... They will suffer MUAHAHA!

Maybe I'll even start to post some more in the future :P

Here the (probably) only group photo of our class on our last day:

Week 7: Soldier

(gotta have do make this a quick one, almost no time till I have to leave)

Week 7 was okay. We had the 25 km March. It wasn't really a problem at all. I think our group had like 5 hours to complete it (or was it 6 not sure)

On Wednesday I got promoted to Soldier (note the adress change :P) And after Monday, I'll be stationed at the Under Officer school in Dübendorf. Ah well.

Also on friday, we had our final inspection... That meant getting up at 5:30, being ready at 6 and standing without movement until 8... And yes, it was cold! Rest of the day they checked if we still knew what we learned the last 7 weeks.

Final Grade for the Company: 3.3/5

Fine by me.

Okay, Cheers guys, I gotta run :)

Week 6: They got me & I rule!

Well well, week 6.

Monday: 15 km march. We didn't have to bring as much in our backpack as on the 8 km march, so no sweat :) It was no problem.

On the same day, we had a company inspection. Grade: Good. Fine by me :P

Company inspections means: all 100 guys stand in a perfectly straight line, don't move for half an hour (and yes, there was snow and yes, it was cold) and get looked at by the captain...

What else? CPR training (I got a blister on my hand from that -.-), San-Test (which I did not pass by a few points), another sport test (2x good, 3x average) and the shooting competition.

I got the shooting award \o/ I shot 76 out of 85 points (72 are needed for the award) quite happy about that :D

Now the bad news.

On Tuesday, I had my second talk with the captain.... And despite my tries to convice him otherwise, he thinks the swiss army needs my services a little longer. Next week they'll move me to the under-officer school. In August, when my service will end (yes, 17 weeks more than planned...) I'll be seargent... Too bad they can force you to do that... meh..

Well, more next week, I hope you enjoyed the pictures below :)

Week 5; They broke my arm....

... well almost :P

There was nothing much going on this week... 2x 5km runs. Aaand the guard service training, where we learned to arrest somebody. I volunteered to play the bad guy several times... So there I was, fighting for my live to get away. And what do you do when the bad guy tries to run away? Yes, you use force ^^

Several bruises on my legs (barrel stabs in the leg) and a hurting arm from the ties they put on me. But hell it was fun :D

Also I'm now educated to use the RSG2000 (Reizstoffsprühgerät 2000), which is basically a very strong pepper spray. Though we didn't get to try the real deal (I also volunteered for that :D). Just some water alcohol mixture...

Aaaah well.

The kitchen in Dübendorf is kinda crappy... We had some meat one day, that was more fat than actual meat...

Other stuff? More ABC and Weapon training... Basic stuff :)

Week 3 & 4: I'm awfully sorry!

Like the title says, I'm sorry, that I didn't have time to write an entry last week. I just have to use every minute of my weekend the best way... damn military ^^

Weeeell...: Week 3: Erm.. There was lots of running... specifically two 5km runs.. And the usual running every time we changed places :P

Also there was a full ABC-Protection march... 5 km in protection-pants, trousers and face mask... I've never sweat so much in my whole live :D

We even went shooting the first time (30 metres distance)! It was great! Even though... well I hit the target but... but... the damn center is very small :D

Week 4: More shooting! We even had a ranking. Place 14 out of 30. Not bad for my first time on the 300 metres range \o/

After the shooting we marched through the streets of Bülach... It's just great how much respect the ppl give you when you're in uniform :D

Whaaaaat else? On wednesday night I had a "special exercise" called IKEA. What's that you ask? Well, we had to take everything out of our room (including the beds, table & chair) and put it outside on our assembly place... Kinda hard, but also kinda fun :D The reason for that? My blanket was not quite alinged to my pillow :S

The last two days we prepared for our move to Dübendorf. That's right, starting next week, we'll be stationed in Dübendorf. Preparing for the move meant packing all our stuff and cleaning the whole barracks. (Including removing every fucking little leaf from our assembly place!)

That's about it. Still no pictures, since I already broke 2 phones in my service (my china phone and my old one...)

Stay tuned for updates :)

Ah yes! If you wanna send me something, wait one more week, till I've actualized my military adress :)

Cheers!

Week 2: Getting the hang of it

Hi guys, just bevore I leave again... This is update #2 (officially seen)

Well what did we have this week?

Sport test: 2x sufficient 1x good (long jump)
Weapon Test: Fulfilled (Taking apart the gun, putting it back together, loading, chaning mags, clearing blockages)
8 KM March: I didn't break down half the way.

Also I had my first night out. We went to the sports bar. The Barkeeper (and seemingly owner of the place) jacky was just great. After some beer I decided to order 3 Jägermeister shots for our table. She brought 4 doubles. After telling her that I only ordered 3, she told me to just drink it and don't pay it. I love sports bar in bülach :D

I wanted to put up 2 pictures... 1 of me with uniform and long hair and one of me with uniform, short hair and gun... but my phone... it's chinaware ^^

I'll get it online as soon as possible.

Note my adress guys :D

Cheers
